Proclamation of Sauna Peace

This year, like every other year Everyone shall have the right to bathe in their favourite sauna. All sauna bathers may come into the sauna friendly-minded. Disagreements, quarrels and mobile phones shall be left outside the ear-shot. Any impure thought, envy or vengefulness may not enter the sauna; tolerance and open mind are welcome. Let us grant this to ourselves and each other Let us have sauna peace.

The proclamation harkens all the way back to 1280, when King Magnus III decreed that homes and baths (sauna and bastu) are protected places in the eyes of the law.
